Where to Stay

Limousine van (most common option): Direct transfer from Hanoi to Sapa, approximately 5 - 6 hours.
Coach bus: Larger buses (sleeper or seated) operating daily between Hanoi and Sapa, travel time is around 5–7 hours depending on traffic and stops.
Train to Lao Cai (overnight): A slower but scenic option, and from Lao Cai station, it takes around 1 hour to reach Sapa town by: Taxi, local shuttle bus, or private transfer,

Town center: convenient, walkable
Mountain resorts: quieter, scenic views

In Sapa:

Old Quarter / Hoan Kiem: best for first-time visitors
Tay Ho (West Lake): more relaxed, expat-friendly area
